Buying a car at auction
New to car auctions? Here's exactly how buying with Fairways Motor Auctions works, step by step.
1. Register free
Create your free account in a minute. You can then save cars to your watch list and get reminders when lots go live.
2. Look at the cars
Every lot has photos, mileage, MOT date and key details. You're welcome to view any car in person by appointment, or ask us for a walkaround video.
3. Get approved to bid
Before the auction, complete your account details from your account page so we can approve you to bid. You may be required to pay a holding deposit, which is refunded if you don't win a car.
4. Bid online
Auctions are timed and run online. Place a bid from your phone or computer and we'll let you know if you're outbid. If a bid comes in during the final minutes, the clock extends so everyone gets a fair chance.
5. Win and collect
If you win, we'll be in touch with payment and collection details. All lots are sold as seen, so viewing before you bid is always a good idea.
